Yes, we all at some time have had a gripe, moan, or have reason to
seek redress for a purchase or promise that was not provided under the
specification or contract.
Complain only if you wish to achieve a positive outcome.
If you want to just vent your anger, don't waste your precious time.

rights when entering into transactions, and an understanding of
regulatory areas of consumer purchase.
As a consumer, your rights are quite considerable, and with
respect, many do not fully understand what they are.
When was
the last time you complained?
How much time was taken up? What were the costs of telephone
calls to non-existent people?
Above all, did you actually get a result?
Special rules apply to contracts for buying goods, services,
distance selling and other areas such as package holidays, insurance,
food and finance. In addition the tort of negligence gives limited
protection where consumers have no contractual rights.
You are protected by both civil and criminal law, however, please
note that the United Kingdom legal system is different to that in
Scotland, and there are minor considerations for Northern Ireland.
Conversely,
if you have received excellent service, why not write to the
establishment. You will be surprised how quickly you can become a VIP,
and for future purchases, trips, visits etc., you will be treated with
respect.
